A sunshine-filled, intimate forest wedding with a sprinkling of showers and two very happy women.

Marshwood Manor is a picturesque wedding venue in the stunning countryside of West Dorset, England, surrounded by rolling hills, charming farmland, and enchanting woodlands. Exactly the reason why Lucy and Jazz fell in love with it.

This was my first LGBTQIA+ wedding and getting to hang out with Lucy and Jazz, her friends and family for the day was an absolute blast. Katie and her team from Style and Wonder helped to make the day run smoothly and on time even in the tricky, showery conditions.

I floated between Lucy and Jazz throughout the morning, liaising with them to make sure I didn’t miss any special moments. That in turn is quite the feat at Marshwood, as they were getting ready some distance apart. I certainly got my steps in to start the day.

Jazz was ready first and made her way to the forest with her girls and Mum, and awaited her beautiful bride. Piano notes gently echoed throughout the forest as she nervously waited. Lucy soon appeared with her dad and the emotions began. The trees were breached with shards of sun rays as they both said I do, before getting ready for a confetti run in the rain.

The afternoon continued with laughter, a lot of happy faces and some dancing in the courtyard. Food was then served in the courtyard, and speeches brought the wedding breakfast to a close. It was then time for some more dancing, with myself and Katie trying to decide when to go for the first dance in between showers. Katie dried the dancefloor one last time and we went for it. The first dance soon finished and everyone partied the night away finishing with some sparklers.

I had the best time at Marshwood Manor and always enjoy working with Katie too. Some highlights are documented below.
